Calling a Graphics Routine

The Graphical Data Display Manager (GDDM) product (SS1, Option 14) is withdrawn from IBM® i 7.6. See the Memo to users for 7.6.

When factor 2 for a CALL operation is the literal ‘GDDM’ or a named constant with the value ‘GDDM’, or the parameter of the EXTPGM keyword for a prototype is the literal ‘GDDM’ or a named constant with the value ‘GDDM’, the call will no longer perform graphics functions starting in IBM i 7.6.

Calls to ‘GDDM’ continue to be handled in a special way by the compiler, so you should avoid calls to the literal value ‘GDDM’.
